Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the desktop application Qt Bitcoin Trader, developed and maintained by Ihor July.

What the App Collects

Qt Bitcoin Trader does not collect or store any personal data. The app does not require user registration, and it does not track or profile users in any way.

The only data temporarily received by the server occurs during automatic update checks, which are used solely to determine whether a new version of the app is available.

Data received during update checks:

IP address (used for standard web request delivery and security logging)
User-Agent string (which may include operating system and Qt Bitcoin Trader version)
App version (to determine if a newer version is available)

This data is not stored, logged, or shared with third parties. It is used only in memory to return an appropriate update response, and then discarded.

API Key Security

If you choose to use Qt Bitcoin Trader to trade on cryptocurrency exchanges, you may enter your API keys for those services. These keys are:

Stored only locally on your device
Encrypted using your startup password
Never transmitted, uploaded, or shared

You have full control over your keys, and they are never exposed outside your system.

No Telemetry or Background Tracking

Qt Bitcoin Trader does not send usage metrics.
It does not monitor behavior or log user actions.
There are no third-party trackers bundled with the app.
